Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 1:1852

Hafs narrated to us, from Ash'ath ibn 'Abd al-Malik, from al-Hasan, that he was asked about a man who performed ghusl (ritual bath) with snow, and the cold afflicted him, so he died. He said: "What a martyrdom that is."
