Al-Fadl ibn Dukayn narrated to us, from Sufyan, from his father, from Ibrahim al-Taymi, from ‘Amr ibn Maymun, from Abu ‘Abd Allah al-Jadali, from Khuzayma ibn Thabit, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) set the wiping over the leather socks at three days for the traveler and one day for the resident. And had the questioner persisted in his questioning, he would have made it five.
