Hushaym narrated to us, he said: Mughira informed us, from Ibrahim, who said: The companions of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, wiped over the leather socks (khuffayn). Whoever abandons that out of aversion to it, then he is only from the Shaytan.
