Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 1:1903

Ibn ‘Ulayyah narrated to us, from Ayyub and Ibn ‘Awn, from Ibn Sirin, who said: It was conveyed to me that Abu Ayyub used to command his companions to wipe over the khuffayn (leather socks).
