1970. Abd al-Samad ibn Abd al-Warith narrated to us, from Sa'id ibn Zayd, from Kathir ibn Shanzir, who said: I asked al-Hasan and 'Ata' about a man who performed ablution (wudu) and wiped over his leather socks (khuffayn), then took them off. They both said: He may pray, and he does not need to wash his feet.
