Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 1:1983

Al-Thaqafi narrated to us, from Isma'il bin Umayyah, who said: It reached me that al-Bara' bin 'Azib used to see no harm in wiping over the socks. And it reached me from Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas and Sa'id bin al-Musayyib that they both used to see no harm in wiping over the socks.
