Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 1:2092

Mus'ab ibn al-Miqdam narrated to us, from Za'idah, from al-Mughirah, from Ibrahim, who said: If a man performs wudu' and then slaughters a sheep, that does not invalidate his state of purity. If blood touches him, he should wash it off, and if no blood touches him, then there is nothing upon him.
