Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 1:2108

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn ‘Ulayyah narrated to us, from Salamah ibn ‘Alqamah, from Muhammad, who said: I was informed that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, would have a menstruating woman comb his hair, and he would say: "Her menstruation is not in her hand."
