Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 1:2112

Waki’ narrated to us, he said: Hisham narrated to us, from his father, from Aisha, who said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to bring his head near to me while I was menstruating, and he was staying in the mosque (meaning in I’tikaf), so he would place it in my lap, and I would wash it and comb it while I was menstruating.
