Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 1:2115

Sufyan ibn ‘Uyaynah narrated to us, from Manbudh, from his mother, who said: Ibn Abbas entered upon Maymunah. She said: "O my son, why do I see your hair disheveled?" He said: "Indeed, Umm ‘Ammar, my hairdresser, is menstruating." She said: "O my son, and where is the menstruation from the hand? The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) used to place his head in the lap of one of us while she was menstruating."
