Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 1:552

Affan narrated to us, he said: Hammam narrated to us, he said: It was said to Matar al-Warraq, while I was with him, regarding whom al-Hasan took [the opinion] that he used to perform ablution from what fire had touched. He said: He took it from Anas, and he took it from Abu Talhah, and Abu Talhah from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.
