Ubayd Allah narrated to us, from Shayban, from Mansur, from Abu Ma'shar, from Ibrahim, who said: They used to consider it recommended to perform *istinshaq* (sniffing water into the nose) three times when in a state of *janaba* (major ritual impurity).
