Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 1:832

Abu Mu’awiyah narrated to us, from Hajjaj, from Abu Ishaq, from al-Harith, from Ali, that he used to perform ghusl (ritual bath) for janabah (major ritual impurity), then he would come and warm himself with his wife before she performed ghusl, then he would pray and not touch water.
