Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 35:117

Waki’ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from ‘Asim, from ‘Ubayd Allah ibn ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Amir ibn Rabi’ah, from his father, that a man married during the time of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, with a pair of sandals, and the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, permitted his marriage.
