Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 35:160

Hafs narrated to us, from al-Shaybani, from al-Sha’bi, that the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) sent ‘Abdullah ibn Rawahah to the people of Yemen, and he estimated the [yield of the] date palms for them.
