Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 35:163

Abu Khalid narrated to us, from Yahya ibn Sa'id, from Bashir ibn Yasar, that Umar used to send Abu Hathma as an estimator for the date palms. And he mentioned that Abu Hanifa did not hold the view of estimation (al-khars).
