Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 35:178

Abu Usama narrated to us, from al-Walid ibn Kathir, from Sa’id ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Sa’id al-Khudri, that ‘Abd al-Rahman narrated to him, from his father, from Abu Sa’id, that he heard the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, saying: "I have declared sacred what is between the two lava fields of Medina, just as Abraham declared Mecca sacred." He said: Then Abu Sa’id would find one of us with a bird in his hand that he had caught, so he would take it from his hand and release it.
