Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 35:21

Narrated to us Sharik, from Salamah, from ‘Ata’ and Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir, that the Prophet (peace be upon him) sold a *mudabbar* (a slave promised freedom upon the master's death). And he mentioned that Abu Hanifah said: "It is not to be sold."
