Hadith 35:231

Jarir narrated to us, from Mughira, from al-Sha'bi, who said: There was a man from the Muslims who was blind, and he used to seek shelter with a Jewish woman. She would feed him, give him drink, and treat him well, but she would constantly harm him regarding the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. When he heard that from her one night, he stood up and strangled her until he killed her. This was raised to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he asked the people about her matter. The man stood up and informed him that she used to harm him—saying [things] about the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace—and she would insult him and disparage him, so he killed her for that. The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, declared her blood to be of no consequence (i.e., he ruled that no retaliation was due).
