Abu Usama narrated to us, from al-Walid ibn Kathir, he said: Bashir ibn Yasar narrated to me that he heard Sahl ibn Abi Hathma and Rafi‘ ibn Abi Khudayj saying: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) forbade *al-muhaqala* and *al-muzabana*, except for the owners of *al-‘araya*, for he had permitted it for them. And he mentioned that Abu Hanifa said: That is not permissible.
