Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 35:288

Waki’ narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Layla, from ‘Ata’, and from ‘Abd al-Karim, from Mu’adh ibn Sa’d, from Sinan ibn Salamah, that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said to him regarding the voluntary sacrificial animal (hadi): "He shall not eat from it; and if he eats from it, he shall pay compensation (gharima)."
