Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 35:291

Waki’ narrated to us, from Hisham, from his father, from Najiya al-Khuza’i, who said: I said, "O Messenger of Allah, what should we do with the sacrificial animal that becomes incapacitated?" He said, "Slaughter it, dip its sandal in its blood, and leave it between the people and it." And he mentioned that Abu Hanifa said, "The members of the traveling company may eat from it."
