Hadith 35:339

'Abd al-Rahim narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Khalid, from Shubayl ibn 'Awf—and he had reached the Pre-Islamic period—he said: 'Umar ibn al-Khattab commanded the people regarding charity. The people said: "O Commander of the Faithful, by Allah, our horses are few and our slaves are few. Impose upon us ten, and prepare ten for the affairs." He said: "As for me, I will not impose that upon you."

حدثنا عبد الرحيم عن بن أبي خالد عن شبيل بن عوف وكان قد أدرك الجاهلية قال أمر عمر بن الخطاب الناس ( ( ( عرف ) ) ) بالصدقة ( ( ( أنه ) ) ) فقال ( ( ( خلق ) ) ) الناس ( ( ( غناء ) ) ) يا ( ( ( للإسلام ) ) ) أمير المؤمنين ( ( ( والله ) ) ) خيلنا ( ( ( أحوذيا ) ) ) ورقيقنا ( ( ( نسج ) ) ) أفرض ( ( ( وحده ) ) ) علينا ( ( ( قد ) ) ) عشرة ( ( ( أعد ) ) ) عشرة ( ( ( للأمور ) ) ) قال ( ( ( أقرانها ) ) ) أما أنا ( ( ( جاء ) ) ) فلست أفرض ذلك عليكم
