Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 35:359

Hushaym narrated to us, from Husayn, from Mus’ab ibn Sa’d, from his father, that he used to perform Witr with one Rak’ah. It was said to him [regarding that], and he said: "I am merely completing its perfection."
