'Abd al-A'la narrated to us, from Ma'mar, from al-Zuhri, that he used to dislike purchasing a sword adorned with silver. He would say: "Purchase it with gold, hand-to-hand." And he mentioned that Abu Hanifah said: "There is no harm in purchasing it with dirhams."
