Hadith 35:454

Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, [who said] Ibn Abi Dhi’b informed us, from al-Maqburi, from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Sa’id al-Khudri, from his father, who said: We were detained on the day of the Trench from [performing] the Dhuhr, ‘Asr, Maghrib, and ‘Isha prayers until we were spared that. That is the saying of Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He: "And Allah spared the believers the battle, and Allah is Powerful, Exalted in Might." So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood up and ordered Bilal, so he performed the iqamah, and he prayed Dhuhr as he used to pray it before that. Then he performed the iqamah for ‘Asr, and he prayed ‘Asr as he used to pray it before that. Then he performed the iqamah for Maghrib, and he prayed it as he used to pray it before that. Then he performed the iqamah for ‘Isha, and he prayed it as he used to pray it before that. That was before the revelation of: "But if you fear, then [pray] on foot or riding." And he mentioned that Abu Hanifah said: If the prayers are missed by him, he does not give the adhan for any of them, nor does he perform the iqamah.
