Sufyan ibn 'Uyaynah narrated to us, from Yahya ibn Sa'id, from Abu Bakr ibn Muhammad ibn 'Amr ibn Hazm, from 'Umar ibn 'Abd al-'Aziz, from Abu Bakr ibn 'Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Harith ibn Hisham, from Abu Hurayrah, that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: "Whoever finds his property with a man who has gone bankrupt, he is more entitled to it." And they mentioned that Abu Hanifah said: "He is on equal footing with the creditors."
