Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 35:96

Yahya ibn Adam narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Ayyash, from Zayd ibn Ali, from his father, from Ubayd Allah ibn Abi Rafi, from Ali, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): A man came to him and said, "I performed ifada (tawaf al-ifada) before I shaved." He said, "Shave or shorten, and there is no harm."
