Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:100

Abu Dawud al-Tayalisi narrated to us, from Abu Khulda, who said: I asked Ikrimah and Abu al-Aliyah, and I said: "I am a tailor; I cut the garment and I lease it out for less than what I take it for." They both said: "Do you do any work on it?" I said: "Yes, I cut it and I join it together." They both said: "There is no harm in that."
