Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:1015

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn ‘Ulayyah narrated to us, from Dawud ibn Abi Hind, from Riyah ibn ‘Ubaydah, that a man sent merchandise [with a man]. When he was on some of the roads, he saw something being sold, so he called for witnesses that he was a guarantor for the merchandise, then he bought that thing with it. When he arrived in Medina, he sold what he had bought and made a profit. He asked Ibn ‘Umar about that, and he said: "The profit belongs to the owner of the wealth."
