Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:1018

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abu Usama narrated to us, from Zayd, from Abu Usama, he said: I asked Salim and al-Qasim about the earnings of a cupper. They did not see any harm in it, and they recited: "Say, 'I do not find within that which was revealed to me a prohibition for one who would eat it...'" [to the end of] the verse.
