Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:1051

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Layla, from al-Sha’bi, regarding a man who gives charity and then inherits it. He said: "The shares did not return it except as lawful."
