Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:1199

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Alqama bin Marthad, from Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Layla, from Abu al-Darda, that two men disputed before him regarding a beast. Each one of them brought forth evidence that it belonged to him, so he judged it between them. And he said: "How much you two were in need of something like the chain of the Children of Israel [which used to descend and take the neck of the oppressor]."
