Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:1213

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ghundar narrated to us, from Shu'bah, who said: I asked al-Hakam about a man who bought a garment and cut it, then found a defect in it. He said: "He returns it." And I asked Hammad, and he said: "He returns it, and returns with it the compensation (arsh) for the cutting." Shu'bah said: And al-Haytham informed me from Hammad that he said: "The compensation (arsh) for the defect is deducted from him."
