Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:1218

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Isma'il ibn 'Ulayyah narrated to us, from Ibn 'Awn, that a man bought a slave and utilized his earnings. Then a man came and claimed him, so he disputed with him before Iyas ibn Mu'awiyah. He (the claimant) established his right to him, so he (Iyas) judged in his favor for the slave and his earnings. And he judged for the man against the one who sold it to him for the equivalent of the slave and the equivalent of his earnings. He said: So I mentioned that to Muhammad ibn Sirin, and he said: "It is understanding."
