Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:1295

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn 'Uyaynah narrated to us, he said: 'Amr heard 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar saying: "We used to practice *mukhabarah* (sharecropping) and we did not see any harm in that, until Rafi' ibn Khadij claimed that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, forbade it, so we abandoned it for his sake."
