Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:1307

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, he said: Sufyan narrated to us, he said: I was informed by ‘Abd al-‘Aziz ibn Rufay’, from Rifa’ah ibn Rafi’ ibn Khadij, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) forbade sharecropping and leasing, [except that] a man buys land or lends it. Then he said: [My father lent] land to a man, and he cultivated it and built a structure on it. So he went out to it and saw the structure. He said: "Who built this?" They said: "So-and-so, whom you lent it to." He said: "Shall I compensate him for what I gave him?" They said: "Yes." He said: "I will not depart until you tear it down."
