Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:1365

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn ‘Ulayyah narrated to us, from Sa‘id, from Qatadah, that he used to see no harm in disposing of food before taking possession of it, and he would say: "It is a kindness."
