Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:1406

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abbad bin al-Awwam narrated to us, from Hisham, from Ibn Sirin, who said: He used to dislike selling him, but he saw no harm in entering into a mukataba (contract of manumission) with him.
