Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:1422

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Jarir narrated to us, from al-Shaybani, from Ikrimah, from Ibn Abbas, who said: The guardian (al-wasi), if he is in need, may place his hand with their hands (i.e., eat from the estate), but he shall not clothe himself with a turban (from the estate).
