Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from Muti’ ibn ‘Abd Allah, he said: I heard al-Sha’bi narrating from Ibn ‘Umar, he said: ‘Umar said: "May Allah curse so-and-so, for he is the first to authorize the sale of wine. For trade is not valid in that which is not lawful to eat or drink."
