Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Zayd ibn al-Hubab narrated to us, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Shurayh, he said: Abu Qubayl narrated to me, from Abdullah ibn Amr, that a man said: "I found a dinar." He said: "No one shelters a stray except one who is astray." The man moved to throw it away, so he said: "Do not do that." He said: "Then what should I do with it?" He said: "Make it known. If its owner comes, return it to him; otherwise, give it away in charity."
