Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:1695

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, from Uqbah ibn Ubayd Allah, he said: Maysarah ibn Umayrah narrated to me that he met Abu Hurayrah and said: "What do you say regarding a found item, the rope and the rein and the likes of this?" He said: "Make it known. If you find its owner, return it to him; and if not, then enjoy it."
