Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:1710

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, he said: Waqid ibn ‘Abd Allah narrated to us, he said: I was with ‘Ata’ ibn Abi Rabah, and a man asked him, "Is leaving the lost property better, or taking it?" He said: "No, rather leaving it [is better]."
