Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:1728

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Rawwad ibn al-Jarrah narrated to us, from al-Awza'i, from al-Zuhri, that he saw no harm in *salam* (forward sale) for servants (slaves) if the age was known.
