Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:1771

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Yazid bin Harun narrated to us, from Hajjaj, from Abd al-Rahman bin al-Aswad, from his father, who said: I had a slave who was shared between me and my brothers, and I wanted to emancipate him. So I came to Ibn Mas'ud and mentioned that to him. He said: "Do not corrupt [the property of] your partners, so that you become liable [for their shares], but wait until they grow up."
