Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:1860

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abd al-A’la narrated to us, from Ma’mar, from al-Zuhri, that Zayd ibn Thabit said: "Do not buy the fruit until the Pleiades rises." Al-Zuhri said: I mentioned that to Salim ibn Abd Allah, and he said: "The commonality (the general ripening of fruit) occurs after the rising of the Pleiades."
