Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:1883

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Isa ibn Yunus narrated to us, from al-Awza’i, he said: Ibn Suraqa narrated to us that Abu Ubaydah ibn al-Jarrah wrote to the people of Dayr Tayyaba: "I have granted you security for your blood, your wealth, and your churches, that they shall not be destroyed or inhabited, as long as you do not commit a new offense or harbor an offender who commits treachery. If you commit a new offense or harbor an offender who commits treachery, then the covenant is void regarding you. It is upon you to host the guest for three days, and our covenant is free from the harm of the army." Khalid ibn al-Walid, Yazid ibn Abi Sufyan, Shurahbil ibn Hasana, and Quda’i ibn ‘Amir witnessed it, and it was written.
