Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:1892

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Hafs narrated to us, from Ash'ath, from al-Hasan, he said: There is no harm in a forward sale (salam) for heads [of livestock], if he sees it as a known quantity.
