Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:1903

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ali ibn Mushir narrated to us, from al-Shaybani, he said: Habib, who used to stand at the head of Shurayh, informed me that he (Shurayh) imprisoned his son, Abdullah, for a guarantee for a man for whom he (the son) had guaranteed his person.
